Webinar/video training is interactive, audiovisual, etc., and just as effective as in person. Uploading data and using the online versions of documents allows for distance auditing. Travel budgets could be greatly reduced by using electronic technology. It would be beneficial for the agency to allow staff that, who require training in an area that is greater than 50 miles from their office, to participate in these trainings via webcast or teleconference. The training materials could be provided to staff by email, and participant information could be tracked in order to ensure that they are truly participating in the required training. There are video conference rooms in several areas, and most have at least two staff that can set up the rooms for this. Invest in cloud storage with highest security measures possible, eliminating the need for space for physical filing cabinets and for staff time spent filing paper. The field offices could have digital files for each consumer. When clients are in the lobby at 5:00 someone has to work overtime until everyone is served. Why not have some people work from 8-5 and others work from 8:30-5:30 to make sure all clients are served but avoid having to pay overtime.
